The future to be announced

夕方、諏訪湖沿いの道を散歩しました。私の暮らす地方都市は観光地でもあるのですが、土曜日と言うのに観光客は見かけませんでした。他にも地元の皆さんが、ウォーキングをしたりサイクリングをしたり、コロナの環境下でも、必要な運動をしていました。やはり体を動かすことは必要と思います。怠ると、コロナとは別な病気にかかってしまうかもしれません。 / I took a walk along the shore of Lake Suwa. My town, a provincial city in Japan, is a tourist spot. But I couldn't find any tourists in spite that it is Saturday. Some other locals were also walking or cycling. Even under the corona environment, people was getting their needed exercise. I think everyone needs their exercise. If we shirk the task, we might suffer from another disease.   

今に始まったことではありませんが、素人みたいな専門家と、専門家みたいな物言いの素人。メディアが断末魔を迎えているようにも思える。 / The specialist like an amateur and the amature who says like a specialist. That is an old story. It seems that Japanese media is at the point of death.

清潔なマスクをしているに越した事はないけれど、それだけで事足りるわけではありません。とかくパニック時には、人は視野狭窄に陥るものです。こんな時こそ、普段以上に視界を広く保とうと努めた方が良いと思います。 / It would be better to wear hygienic mask, but that is not enough all. When a major panic breaks out, we tend to narrow our visual field. I think this is the time to keep our sight wide more than usual.

　御多分にもれず、私も手持ちのマスクが底をつきそうです。近所のドラッグ・ストアでは、毎朝いくらかのマスクを売りに出していますが、長い行列ができる有様で、なかなか入手困難です。 　そんな訳で、そろそろ布製のマスクを使い始めようと思います。布製のマスクは何かと評判が良くないようです。確かに衛生的な効果は、不織布製の物ほどには期待出来ませんが、今となっては必要なエチケットです。 　何しろ、世界人口七十億人ですから、全員に使い捨てのマスクを毎日供給するのは無理なのは明らかです。当面布製マスクをなるべく清潔な状態で使いつつ、他にコロナ対策として手近で有効な手立てがないものか、考えたいものです。 / Like other people's, my masks will be exhausted soon. Though some masks are being sold at a nearby drug store every morning, we need to wait in a long line. We have quite a lot of difficulty getting them.  This being the case, I will start to wear a cloth mask shortly. It seems that the cloth masks have a bad reputation in various ways. I suppose that cloth masks are inferior to nonwoven fabric ones regarding the hygienic effect, but , at least, that is needed as etiquette today.  Anyhow, the world's population has reached seven billion, so, It's clear that we can not provide a disposable mask to everyone everyday. 朝日と夕日 / The rising sun and the sunset. 私の住処は諏訪湖の北岸にあり、勤め先は南岸に位置します。朝の出勤は諏訪湖の西岸に沿って車を走らせ、帰りは東岸沿いの道を選んで帰宅します。そうすると、今の季節、朝は昇ってくる朝日に向かって走り、夕は夕陽に向かって走ることになり、天気が良ければ、一日に二度、良い眺めが楽しめます。 ここは美しい町ですが、残念なことに、昨日、コロナウィルスの感染者が初めて確認されました。今日から学校が始業していることもあり、心配しています。 / The apartment which I'm living in is located on the North shore of Lake Suwa, and my place of work is located on the South shore. I usually drive my car to the company along the East shore of the Lake in the morning, and choose the West road to come home. So, I drive my car toward the rising sun in the morning, and toward the sunset in the evening. I can enjoy a nice view twice a day if it is nice weather.  It is a beautiful town, but, unfortunately, the first coronavirus case was confirmed yesterday in this area. Today, schools have opened after the spring vacation. We are worried about the spread of the virus.
