　御多分にもれず、私も手持ちのマスクが底をつきそうです。近所のドラッグ・ストアでは、毎朝いくらかのマスクを売りに出していますが、長い行列ができる有様で、なかなか入手困難です。 　そんな訳で、そろそろ布製のマスクを使い始めようと思います。布製のマスクは何かと評判が良くないようです。確かに衛生的な効果は、不織布製の物ほどには期待出来ませんが、今となっては必要なエチケットです。 　何しろ、世界人口七十億人ですから、全員に使い捨てのマスクを毎日供給するのは無理なのは明らかです。当面布製マスクをなるべく清潔な状態で使いつつ、他にコロナ対策として手近で有効な手立てがないものか、考えたいものです。 / Like other people's, my masks will be exhausted soon.   人の記憶や、大きく言って国の歴史などが、支配層に都合の悪いものとなった時、そういったものを無効化しようとして流布されるのが "newspeak" なのだろうと思います。今の日本はそうした自家撞着の語法で溢れていることを認識しておくべきです。 / When human memory, or , if we may say it exaggeratedly, the nation's history, becomes inconvenient for the rulers, "newspeak" is distributed for the invalidation of them. We must recognize that there are full of such self-contradictory expressions in our own country, Japan today.
